Setup Rates:

4 String Electric Bass with Fender Style bridges - $75

5/6 string Basses, 4 string basses with non-Fender style bridges (Warwick, Rickenbacker, Spector) - $85

Hardtail Electric (Telecaster, Les Paul type) - $85

Acoustic Guitars - $85

Tremolo Equipped guitars (Stratocaster type) - $100

Locking Tremolo Guitars (Floyd Rose, Khaler type bridge) includes saddle and nut shimming if necessary - $120

My idea of a setup goes beyond most techs. My setups include every process needed so that a professional player could satisfactorily use the instrument on-stage or in a recording studio. This does not, however, include replacement or repair of electronics systems, nuts or saddles. If I am replacing a part there will be a separate charge.

All Setups Incude:

Free consultation before and after the setup. It is my personal opinion, based on experience, that setups are not “one size fits all”. Every player has a different approach to playing and different sounds in mind. I pride myself on my ability to communicate with the player, and go back and forth until the guitar is dialled in to the way YOU play. This is not something that can be done at most guitar stores as they simply have too much volume of repairs. I prefer to do less in a day but take the time with each and every customer to make sure the guitar is playing how they like. If you are a newer player or simply want a fresh start with a new guitar or string gauge, I am very familiar with the large guitar manufacturers “factory spec” setups, as a general starting point.

Fret polish

Cleaning and oiling of fretboard

Restring (customer provides strings, though I do keep some in stock for an extra charge)

Truss rod adjustment

Balancing of trem and spring system (where applicable, springs extra)

Saddle height adjustment

Nut height and shape adjustment

Intonation adjustment

Pickup height adjustment

Full inspection and test of all onboard electronics

Cleaning of pots and switch contacts

Replacement of onboard battery (customer pays for the battery)

Tightening and adjustment of all hardware - Including doweling strap button holes if worn

Tightening of all electronic mounts and jacks

Application of lock-tight thread sealant where needed

Lubrication of all moving parts

Full cleaning of the entire guitar

A receipt detailing your specific setup measurements, for future reference, if requested
